Manitowoc, Wis., resident begins Peace Corps service in Indonesia


Terceira Molnar, 28, of Manitowoc, Wis., has been accepted into the Peace Corps and will depart for Indonesia March 15 to begin training as an English education volunteer. Molnar will live and work at the community level to make a difference by teaching English in middle-school classrooms, developing teaching materials with local teachers, and organizing community- and school-based projects.

Molnar remembers when a teacher who had served as a Peace Corps volunteer presented to her high school geography class, sparking her interest.

“I believe my true purpose in life is to be of service to others, and the Peace Corps has a brilliant manner of allowing its volunteers to use their experience and education to enrich the lives of others,” Molnar said.
