Gabriela Staufeneger, 37, of Cincinnati, Ohio, has been accepted into the Peace Corps and will depart for Mozambique Sept. 24 to begin training as an education volunteer. Staufeneger will make a difference teaching English to secondary-school students in her local community.
“I motivated to join the Peace Corps by the life of my grandmother,” Staufeneger said. “While my grandmother was not a returned Peace Corps volunteer, she had a love for travel. When she got to the end of her amazing life, she was ready.
