Lanark, Ill., resident begins Peace Corps service in Zambia

Sarah Anderson, 22, of Lanark, Ill., has been accepted into the Peace Corps and will depart for Zambia June 11 to begin training as a community outreach volunteer. Anderson will make a difference engaging community members in a wide variety of outreach projects concerning at-risk children or youth, adult literacy, health or HIV/AIDS education, environmental awareness, and information technology.
